Spring Break 2011

We spent Spring Break in Ohio. We spent most of our time in the sewing room. Grandma had inherited some fabric from a friend and we took advantage of the free fabric to make some creations. Mackenzie made two jumper dresses, Alexa made 2 pairs of shorts, Dayton make a pair of shorts and a cube, and all three of them made hats. Some of the fabric has been deemed only wearable within the confines of our own home..:-) It was a great week and all three kids have become quite comfortable with the sewing machine and serger.

In the bag of inherited fabric there was tube of fabric that was used at a changing station for trying on clothing or snuggling in to keep warm. It was affectionately referred to as "the tube."

While waiting for grandma to finish a phone call the kids had some reading time. Mackenzie was the designated reader. CDB was the book of choice and it was quite tender to see all three of them sharing a book like they did when they were much smaller.

We played silly rhythm games with grandpa when he got home from work. It was so nice to get away from our house and chill at grandma and grandpa's house for a week. We really didn't want to leave.
