Dayton chose Levi Strauss as his Famous American. He was required to read books about Levi and then each Monday night for 6 weeks his homework was to write a paragraph about Levi. He then had to type up all of those paragraphs as his final paper. The final requirement was to create a visual project to display at the "museum" which would be held in his classroom. He had to memorize some of the facts about Levi so he could tell the patrons of the museum about Mr. Strauss. Dayton did a great job and learned a great deal about Levi Strauss. The best part for Dayton was getting to have Grandma come to the museum and seeing all of the neat things his classmates did for their projects as well.
