Bountiful

We left Provo and headed to Bountiful to stay with my grandparents. My grandma is forever coming up with creative ideas and this trip was no exception. On Wednesday night we went up Mueller Park canyon and roasted hot dogs, made smores and doughies. Grandma had the kids decorate logs to put into the fire on Wednesday afternoon. She took the kids down to "The Gulley" to pick out the log that they wanted to decorate. My cousin Kae was in town from Arizona and her kids came over to decorate too. Grandma made scones..yum and we had a good time visiting. That evening the kids had a great time playing in the creek and sliding down the mountain. There wasn't a clean Page kid in sight...It was fun to see and catch up with cousins, aunts and uncles.

My grandpa does some amazing things with pieces of wood and a knife. He recently returned from Alaska where he had located the perfect walking stick to keep as a memory. He carved places he had visited into the wood and the date he was there. He proudly showed this souvenir to my kids and Alexa was hooked. She wanted to make a walking stick as well. Grandpa set her up in the garage with the perfect stick and a knife and she was on her way. Mackenzie and Dayton had to make one too...so we transported 3 personalized walking sticks across the country. The memories for my kids.... priceless.
