Sister Jackie Passey

The Passey's moved in next door to us right after we moved in. We could never have imagined what a treat that would be for us. We have read stories about when Jackie was a little girl and my kids have sat absolutely fascinated by her experiences and her way of putting those experiences into writing. Alexa has bonded with Sister Passey over rock collections and fossils. Jackie even took her rock hunting! Just after Christmas Sister Passey brought us a butterfly pavilion. We mailed away for our caterpillars and got them right after we returned from Nauvoo. The caterpillars made chrysalises' and now we have one butterfly, with hopefully more to come.
Last week we got a request from Jackie to adopt a bird. Really a bird! I think we are turning into a zoo. Dog, bird and butterflies...pretty close. Skylie (the bird) is really a pretty blue color and quite noisy (only during piano lessons, movies and when Harley gets a little too close). I'm not sure we are going to keep Skylie for good but it has been an experience having her with us for the past week.
We love Jackie. We love that she has brought so much to our lives!
We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor!
