There were some really steep hills and lots of mud and some suspicious looking piles of stuff. Maybe cow or horse poop! The kids thought this was their most favorite thing. They were all covered in mud (and other stuff ). And everyone was a little stinky! But this was an experience that set the mood for the other things were learned about in Nauvoo.
